  • PLEASE NOTE:

By submitting a vehicle request you indicate that you agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained here below:

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

    1. The person that submits the reservation form online needs to be the same person that picks up the keys (unless an email is sent from the person submitting the reservation giving approval for another person to pick up the keys and sign out the vehicle).
    2. Drivers MUST be 21+ years or older to drive any of the SEU vehicles. ALL drivers need to be SEU approved. If there is a need for approved drivers a list can be provided upon request.
    3. The person who signs for the keys is responsible for the keys and anything that happens to the vehicle while it is checked out.
    4. The keys CANNOT be checked out days in advanced for their event UNLESS prior approval and arrangements has been made.
    5. Keys and vehicles MUST be signed out/in between the hours of 8AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday. Keys and vehicles WILL NOT be signed out/in before or after those hours/days.
    6. There is a new check-list for trash/fuel for each van/bus. If the vehicle is not returned the way that it was checked out, there will be negative consequences per infraction offense:
      1. First offense: A written warning of what infraction occurred. This warning will be sent to the head of the department giving the reason and steps on how to better take care of issues.
      2. Second offense: A written warning detailing the infraction and its repeated occurrence sent to the head of the department. This will also be followed with a $100 charge to the department for continual misuse and disregard of the vehicles.
      3. Third offense: After a driver’s third offense and repeated infraction, the department will temporarily lose access to the vehicles and will no longer be able to use the vehicle for one month.
    7. Whilst on the road, if a tire fails, it HAS to be replaced with the same brand tire with the same specifications.
    8. Personal use of the vehicles is STRICTLY prohibited unless a written request has been made and approved by the Director or Assistant Director of Facilities
    9. All vehicles WILL and MUST be inspected before and after signing the keys out.
  • Vehicle Policy CDL Addendum (for CDL vehicles only)

    1. Vehicle inspection reports MUST be filled out by the actual driver prior to departure AND before each subsequent day of driving for every trip. These forms are located in`side the buses for the three CDL buses (11, 26, and 30).

    2. For example, if driving Bus 26 for a seven day trip and the bus is not driven at all for three days, then when the bus is returned there should be four separate reports turned in. These forms MUST be turned in at the conclusion of EACH TRIP to the Facilities Coordinator/Facilities Representative when the keys are turned in.

    3. If the reports are not completed as the policy states, the driver will have their CDL privileges suspended for 60 days (that is, internally, they will not be allowed to rent Bus 11, Bus 26, or Bus 30). If it happens a second time, then their privileges will be indefinitely suspended (i.e. they will never be allowed to drive a CDL SEU vehicle again).

Please understand that this particular requirement is mandated by law (D.O.T.) and the driver could be asked to provide the current day's inspection report on demand to a D.O.T. inspector or police officer.
